At RSM we offer a wide range of services and social activities.    In addition we are lucky enough to have a number of visiting therapists who provide chiropody, manicures, pedicures, massages, reflexology and counselling.

Membership to RSM is open to anyone in Rotherfield and the surrounding areas. We are a very friendly team and guarantee you a warm welcome.

Companionship

We have wonderful volunteers  who can offer companionship and friendship. We aim to match people with similar interests with you for  phone calls, home visits or a weekly walk. Why not call the office on 01892 853021 to find out more.

Rotherfield Repairs

The Rotherfield Repairers are former professional tradesmen and enthusiastic DIYers.  Between them they have bags of skills and experience that they put to good use. If you small home and garden repairs which can be done at your home or an item that can be collected, our Rotherfield Repairs are waiting and ready to help.

RSM Community Garden

The RSM community garden is a place where our members and volunteers can come together to grow fruit and vegetables, no matter how experienced or green fingered! Did you know that we have a Therapy room at the RSM Centre? We have a range of different services at discounted rates for members ranging from Chiropody, Massage, Reflexology, Manicures and Facials. Volunteer Driving Scheme

Our flagship service and it continually grows in demand.   We have a merry band of over 30 volunteer drivers that are on hand to take you to health and medical appointments or to RSM social clubs.  Our drivers operate from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Art Club

A lovely, friendly and relaxed group for all abilities, including complete beginners. The group is led by RSM volunteers and each week has a different theme. Bosom Buddies

Our Bosom Buddies group for ladies meet fortnightly on Tuesday mornings for friendship, support and refreshments.  It’s a good place to catch up with friends and enjoy a cuppa and piece of home-made cake! Canasta Club

This is our newest club and already popular, with a mixture of experienced players and beginners. Canasta is a brilliant card game for keeping the brain ticking over. The group meet fortnightly at the RSM centre where you can learn to play in a friendly atmosphere.  We aim to have at least one experienced player

Exercise

This is one of our most popular activities for all abilities from wheelchair users to good mobility. We employ a trained instructor who tailors each class to your needs. Holiday at Home

Our much-loved summer program of day trips and activities open to all our members across July and August. Activities in 2023 included – Eastbourne for fish and chips, a visit to a garden centre, a walk around Rye followed by High Tea at Playden. We also visited local gardens and enjoyed tea in the sunshine.

Hydrotherapy

The benefits from this exercise are highly recommended by local surgeries and we have received some fantastic feedback on how it eases pain and strengthens the body. Knitting and Nattering

Our amazing knitting ladies meet fortnightly on Friday afternoons to knit squares at the RSM Centre to make blankets along with lots of nattering! More recently they have added the well known jumpers worn by Rotherfield & Mark Cross Bonfire Society to their knitting repertoire. You are welcome to come along as we have space

Luncheon Club

The Luncheon Club is the highlight of the week for many people. Our volunteer cooks provide a nutritious three course hot meal, to be enjoyed in the company of friends and neighbours. Seated Pilates

Seated Pilates Would you like to improve your posture, tone up your core and stretch those stiff muscle? Then why not join our Seated Pilates group under the guidance of our fully qualified instructor Bella. Suitable for all abilities. Table Tennis

Our wonderful group of weekly table ‘Tennisers’ are keen for more members to join them so that they can rest a bit in between games! It is a great group and you will receive a warm welcome. If you would like to learn how to play or dust off your bat, then this non-competitive group

Time To Talk

Time to Talk is aimed at those caring for a loved one or friend as an unpaid carer. RSM hosts Time to Talk sessions monthly and gives  carers the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, make friends, support each other, share ideas and just have a chat! Toastie Club

Our very popular club is held once a month at the RSM Centre. Hot toasties and tea cakes served from 11.30am to 1.00pm.
