Rather than looking forward to the festive season, we know that many older people dread Christmas because it brings back too many memories of people who have passed away and happier times.
In fact, half a million older people in the UK are expecting to be lonely at Christmas.
We can’t solve the problem across the country, but we can take action here in our community. To involve our community, we asked the children at Rotherfield Primary School to design a Christmas logo and whilst they were busy doing that, at RSM HQ we planned festive events and activities to ensure that every older person in our community feels connected this Christmas.
