Today, Tuesday 2nd December 2026, marks the start of National Grief Awareness Week, a time dedicated to raising awareness of grief and helping to normalise the conversations surrounding it.
We’re pleased to share that MAYFACS in Mayfield and Rotherfield St Martin (RSM) in Rotherfield are coming together to launch a new monthly Bereavement Café. This will offer a safe, welcoming, and informal space for anyone who has experienced loss to connect with others who understand — to talk, listen, and simply be alongside others.
Please note: the Bereavement Café is not a counselling session, but a supportive community gathering encouraging open conversations about loss and healing.
Our Cafés will run on the last Friday of each month from January 2026, alternating between:
• Mayfield Cricket Club, Mayfield
• RSM The Institute, Rotherfield
The first Café will take place in Mayfield on Friday 30th January 2026, 10am–12pm.
